History Southshore Baptist Church started in a Day Care center on David Drive. It was a January day when twenty-four people gathered together to start a Christ-honoring church in the Greater New Orleans Area. Pastor Jayme Jackson preached a message on a successful Church and how God wanted a church for his glory here in New Orleans.
